Climatight Containers has shipping containers for hire and purchase in three standard sizes:

- **10ft:** Compact and suited to tight spaces, backyards, small worksites, and anyone who needs a modest amount of secure storage.
- **20ft:** The “standard” sea container size, great for removals, international shipping, equipment storage and general commercial use.
- **40ft:** For bulk storage needs where volume is the priority, or a unique fit-out such as a commercial space.

All three container lengths are available in standard height or high cube format with 300mm additional internal height.

**Delivery and relocation**

Next day delivery is usually possible in Western Australian and South Australian metro areas, depending on access and exact location.

All Climatight standard sea containers are CSC certified, which means they meet the international standards required for transport by ship or rail. This is worth knowing if you plan to relocate the container across Australia or internationally at any point.

What are standard sea containers used for in Australia?

Standard sea containers are used across Australia for a wide range of industries. You can use them ‘as-is’ for worksite tool and equipment storage, school sports equipment, removals and relocations, backyard sheds, urban farming and general commercial storage. You can also fit them out with accessories to improve safety and functionality, or get custom fabrication to convert your sea container into a shed, workshop, granny flat, pop-up venue or permanent architectural fixture.

Their strength, weather resistance, portability and versatile sizing make them suitable for all kinds of projects and applications.

What size standard shipping container should I choose?

Climatight offers standard sea containers in 10ft, 20ft, and 40ft.

- 10ft containers suit compact sites, but 15.95–17.95m³ of internal space is enough to store furniture, tools and equipment, or bulky household items.
- 20ft containers at 33.13–37.3m³ are the most popular choice for general storage and removals, capable of fitting the typical one- or two-bedroom home.
- 40ft containers provide 67.57–76.05m³ for large-scale storage requirements, including moving a family home, storing vehicles, or converting into an office.

All three are CSC certified and available to hire or purchase. We also have high cube containers available, giving you 300mm extra internal height with the same footprint.

Do you offer self-storage?

No. Climatight does not offer self-storage services we deliver the container to your premises and pick it up again when you are done with it.

How secure are Climatight sea containers?

Climatight sea containers are built from heavy-duty Corten steel with lockable double swing doors and heavy-duty cam-lock rods.

This design protects against forced entry and withstands long-term outdoor exposure in Australian conditions. Many customers also add lockboxes or upgraded locks for extra protection.

What can I do if I don’t need my Climatight sea container anymore?

If you’re on a hire agreement, contact us when you’re done and we’ll arrange collection at a time that suits. If you’ve purchased a container and no longer need it, get in touch with our team to discuss your options. We may be able to assist you in finding a buyer or discuss taking the unit back.
